Making an impressive drop from last quarters 15 percent and last years 15.9 percent, distressed home sales- bank-owned, active foreclosure, and short sales- only accounted for 12.9 percent of all single-family home and condo sales in the U.S. in Quarter 3 of 2016, according to ATTOM Data Solutions latest study. This marks the lowest percentage since Quarter 3 of 2007, and a significant drop from the peak number of 43.9 percent in Quarter 1 of 2009.
