This sensory-rich experience encourages quiet exploration, offering glimpses of birds, crickets, and mysterious creatures. Priced at $25.00 per person, the guided hike requires advance registration. Meet at the picnic area just past the ranger station to embark on this back-country trail, navigating uneven terrain and narrow paths for an immersive journey under the moonlit sky.

 

Sat, Jan 13^th, 9am | Plant a Patch for Pollinators Walk and Workshop | Old Miakka Preserve | Fruitville Road

Join a tranquil nature walk at Old Miakka Preserve to explore native plants in their natural habitat. After the walk, head to the Florida Native Plants Nursery for an exclusive workshop with owner Laurel Schiller, where you'll learn to create a native pollinator patch in your garden. Recommended for teens and adults, but all ages are welcome with a guardian onsite. Bring a water bottle, wear weather-appropriate clothing, and note there are no restrooms at the Preserve. Presented in partnership with Sarasota County Parks and Recreation, a $5 donation to the Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast supports nature preservation and engagement.
