The Outdoors Expo and Boat Show are Back! Outdoors, family and dogs are friendly at Armature Works! News Channel 8 is teaming up with a beautiful waterfront view of Armature works in historic downtown Tampa to bring the 31st Annual News Channel 8 Outdoors Expo and Boat Show to the Hillsborough River. The show will span over three days, with admission free to all, and raffle giveaways all weekend! The family-friendly event will feature the Buccaneers mascot and street team, kid’s activities, outdoor space, the Armature works Food Hall, and boats on the water! News Channel 8’s beloved anchors will be on site all weekend meeting attendees. Parking at Armature works will be event pricing in the lots, street, and parking garage. You could also use the Riverwalk or Pirate Taxi! Admission to the event is FREE!

 

Saturday, April 9th at 8:30 am | Florida 4 Warriors Tampa Silkies Ruck | The Bad Monkey 1717 E 7th Ave, Tampa 33605

This is the 8th Annual Florida4Warrios Tampa Silkies Ruck. Now, this is not your normal ruck, it is geared to allow plenty of time for camaraderie, not an athletic event. All of the rucks are between 10-and 14 miles, with a 2-3 miles per hour pace. They do NOT ruck straight through, there will be frequent stops for bathrooms, food/beverages, and some shenanigans! Saturday, April 9th from 12 pm-2:30 pm | Equestrian Trail Ride at Big Slough Preserve | Big Slough Preserve | 21075 State Road 72, Myakka City

Enjoy horse trail riding that’ll take you through Florida’s diverse ecosystems such as flat woods and across open prairies and through hammocks of cabbage palms and live oak trees. This is a 2.5-3 hour horseback ride that will take you along the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail. This 2,400 acres park offers an opportunity to see wildlife such as deer, turkey, and many kinds of wading birds along with rabbits, red fox, gray fox, bobcat, otters, bald eagles, and much more!! 

There is a height and weight restriction for this event and no animals are allowed.

Sixties-themed night at the Botanical & Sculpture Gardens! Celebrate sixty days of Zimsculpt! This event is designed for adults only. Tickets to Groovin’ in the Gardens include admissions from 5:30 pm -8:30 pm to see ZimSculpt in a whole different light! This event will have a BBQ meal, dessert, bottled water, or soda! 60’s themed photo station! Popular music from the era and FREE Parking! Tickets are $30-$40!!

 

 

Saturday, April 9th from 12 pm-4 pm | Craft Beer & Wine Fest at The Village | Fishermen’s Village 1200 W Retta Esplanade 

The Charlotte Chapter of FRLA is pleased to present the Craft Beer & Wine Fest at the Village! Enjoy a day of sampling a variety of beers from over 50 breweries and wines on Saturday, April 9th at the Fishermen’s Village. Proceeds will help support the local Culinary High Schools with Scholarships. Presale individual tickets are $40/each. Day of the event, individual tickets will be $50/each.
