April 27, 2018: It's the season's final Music in the Park at the Riverwalk in Bradenton. Bring a picnic basket, blankets or chairs, and your furry companions on leashes to the Bradenton Riverwalk Mosaic Amphitheater and enjoy the show — Scott Blum Jazz Ensemble, for free! April 28 - 29, 2018: It's the always popular 40th annual Siesta Fiesta which takes place in Siesta Key Village from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. It's sort of a farewell party for all of our “snowbird” friends from the colder climates of the northern U.S, Canada and afar, who come to be with us in Sarasota throughout the winter season. It's one of the most awaited fests of the year and it's on my April Sarasota Events Calendar for you to enjoy. 

 April 28 - 29, 2018: The beginning of a new celebration of the visual arts in Lakewood Ranch – the premiere of the Lakewood Ranch Fine Art Festival.  Find original handmade artwork to enrich your life and beautify your home and office. Artwork by local, regional and national artisans. Works in painting, sculpture, jewelry, glass and ceramics, photography, fiber and wearable art to mixed-media, metalwork, woodworking and more will be on display. Free admission. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Main Street in downtown Lakewood Ranch, FL. 

April 28, 2018: Enjoy the De Soto Heritage Festival Grand Parade, a parade for all ages to see, which steps off at 6:30 p.m., with over 150 parade entries, from Manatee H.S. in Bradenton, then goes west on 9th avenue, north along 39th street to Manatee avenue, then turning east headed toward downtown to 9th street. About 200,000 are expected to view the festive parade, the largest parade in the region. 

 April 29, 2018: It's the 16th Annual "Ride The Beaches" scenic bike rides sponsored by Sharky's on the Pier. There's a 70 mile, 35 mile and 15 mile ride. Check in and breakfast starts at 6:00 a.m. The 70 mile ride starts at 7:30 a.m. The 35 mile ride begins at 8 a.m. The 15 mile ride begins at 9 a.m. There's a full lunch served from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. The ride benefits the Live Strong Foundation. $40 registration. 6 am - 2 p.m. Sharky's is at 1600 Harbor Drive on Venice Island.
