The Suncoast region lost a substantial amount of trees due to Hurricane Ian. Join this class to learn about the trees that thrive in our region, with emphasis on native trees and avoidance of nuisance invasives. Upon completion of the presentation, participants will receive a native tree sapling for their landscape.

 

Sunday, April 23rd, 6pm | Siesta Key Drum Circle | Siesta Key Beach | 948 Beach Road

Watch the sun set as you listen to drummers and watch various Drum Circle regulars perform hula-hooping, fire spinning, and more. Bring your rhythm and a beach chair or blanket to relax and enjoy the eclectic crowd. This will begin about an hour before sunset just south of the main pavilion between lifeguard stand three and four.

Join the fun for the 4th Annual Tunaskin Beach Keepers Club Clean-up in Sarasota! Registration is $25 with a portion of proceeds going to Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium and includes a t-shirt for you to wear and keep. Bags and gloves will be provided at check-in, but you are welcome to bring pickers and buckets to assist in your clean-up efforts. There will be an after-party with food, refreshments, and raffles!
